The limiting beliefs
Have you heard of limiting beliefs? And that we are the creators of our lives, and what we believe in is literally what we materialize.
Of course, it doesn’t happen at the snap of a finger, and it doesn’t happen the moment we think of it. And thank God! It’s good that the universe still gives us time to think about what we want and whether we like it. Otherwise, the moment we think of a purple hippopotamus, it stands before us. And what were we going to do about it then?
However, limiting beliefs are thoughts and behavior patterns deeply embedded in our subconscious, and we often don’t realize where they come from and who they are. Sometimes it takes a lot of work with ourselves to get to them, but when we figure out what they are, they go away, or we find a way to deal with them.
I will write down some such restrictions for you to think about. These limitations may not be your thoughts and beliefs but may be imposed by society, parents most often, friends, influencers, and so on.
The first thing I will focus on is:
Rich people are evil, crooks, cheats, thieves, murderers, and so on!
Is it familiar to you? I often catch myself having this belief myself. And guess what? When we believe something, the World proves to us that it is so. He shows us just such examples to convince us that we are right. Do you agree? If you, too, come across daily news of crooked politicians and wealthy people in your entourage who have gotten rich the evil way, then Voila! You also have this negative belief.
The next one could be:
Money is not the essential thing in life! Yes, that’s precisely why I have a successful family, children, and friendships, but…not a successful business, for example. Right? However, the next limiting belief is:
Successful people who do business are constantly busy, have no time to breathe, spend their money, and have no time for their families! Yes, there are many such examples. Elon Musk, for example. Possibly he believes it too. After all, how many divorces are there?
A conversation surfaced with an acquaintance of mine in which we were admiring a native Unfluencer of ours. How successful she is, how she has many commitments, and how we don’t even imagine and are not ready to be in her shoes. And the lady in question has a strict regime, gets up at 5 am, has a prosperous family, and several businesses. And the surprise is that it succeeds with everything!
Money is earned through hard work! This could be our next limiting belief. How many of you work over 8 hours for your employer and are underpaid? Or are you uncomfortable asking for money for work because you think it’s nothing? Is it? After all, you have given your most precious resource, your time, to help this person. You could have spent that time with your child or loved one!
No matter how many we count, they won’t become more! He who is born poor will remain poor! Money goes to money! That’s life, and that’s that! Hmmm… Yeah, that explains why all the rich people find mates who are also soy. Is it a universally valid rule? Have you seen the opposite?
It’s all been divided long ago, so you’d better be careful! Money only spoils people!
I am poor but proud; I sleep soundly! I’m decent; I only get clean money!
All these beliefs block us and, at some point, prevent us from receiving material abundance!
I will give you the opposite examples. A little work for a lot of money:
Timothy „Tim“ Ferris (born in 1977) is an American author, entrepreneur, and public speaker. He has written several self-help books under the „4-Hour“ logo, such as The 4-Hour Workweek.
Ferris is also a co-investor and advisor to companies such as Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Evernote, Uber, and others. Tim also hosts the popular podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show.
Ferris grew up in East Hampton, New York, and graduated from St. Paul’s High School in New Hampshire. In 2000, he earned a BA in East Asian Studies from Princeton University. Since graduating, Ferris has worked in the sales departments of data storage companies.
4 hours per week. How do these things happen? Don’t think about the usual giveaways, tax evasion, and such! Nothing like that. But you, too, can have such options without conflict with the law or your conscience. You must let go of many of your previous notions of, say, sanity and career. Reality – this „terribly stubborn illusion“ – can be changed, but this time not with complicated meditative techniques, but with the help of four simple steps, illustrated with enough examples from the author’s personal experience. Then you will also understand how to „put your income on autopilot“ to get a true world citizen’s virtually unlimited freedom and mobility.
A philanthropist, one of the most influential builders of the modern Indian economy, from a poor background:
Jamseji (Jamshedji) Nusserwanji Tata (3 March 1839 – 19 May 1904) was an Indian industrialist who founded the Tata Group, India’s largest conglomerate company. Several polls and rankings named him the most outstanding philanthropist of the last century. He also established the city of Jamshedpur.
„When you have to give a lead in action, in ideas – a charge that doesn’t fit into the very climate of opinion – that’s real courage, physical or mental or spiritual, call it what you like, and it’s that kind of courage and vision that Jamshedji Tata showed. It is suitable to honor his memory and remember him as one of the great founders of modern India.“- Jawaharlal Nehru..
Jamsedji Tata was born in the family of Nusserwanji and Jeevanbai Tata on March 3, 1839, in Navsari, a town in southern Gujarat. His family is part of the minority group of Zoroastrians, or Parsis, who came to India to flee the persecution of Zoroastrians in Iran. He was born into a respectable but low-income family of priests.
The first female billionaire writer:
Joanne Rowling is the English writer and author of the Harry Potter fantasy series.
She was born on July 31, 1965, in Yate, Gloucestershire.
From 1991 to 1993, she lived in Portugal and worked as an English teacher. He married a Portuguese journalist while living in Porto, and they had one daughter, Jessica, but the marriage was short-lived. She then returned to the UK and settled in Edinburgh, where her sister lived. Rowling faced many difficulties during this period because she raised her daughter alone and relied solely on welfare. Nevertheless, she managed to finish her first Harry Potter book, and after about a year, her agent informed her that Bloomsbury Publishing would publish it (1996). This was the beginning of the worldwide success of the series.
Harry Potter is a global brand valued at around $21 billion. The 4,195-page Harry Potter series has been translated (in whole or in part) into more than 75 languages.
In February 2004, the magazine Forbes estimated her fortune at £576 million, and in 2006 named her the first female billionaire writer and the second richest woman in the showbiz world, after Oprah Winfrey.
Rowling is actively involved in fundraising for those in need. In late March 2006, she organized a charity ball at Stirling Castle, Scotland, which raised $351,000. They are for multiple sclerosis sufferers in Scotland. Rowling raised more than 170,000 euros for Europe’s parentless children in January of that year at a charity dinner in Bucharest.
There are many examples of billionaires who grew up in extreme poverty, had no education, and achieved everything independently. Or rich people helping the society, contributing to the environment or funding the education of poor children or giving money to discover new cures, and so on.
Money is of neutral importance, as is everything in this World. It is up to us what meaning we load the word with, what it will bring us, and what World we will build through our beliefs.
And the good news is that everything is changing. We can replace the above beliefs with:
It is easy to make money. I’m a money magnet. I work a little and get paid a lot for my work. Rich people are kind and helpful. The world is a beautiful place and so much more.
If something in our life is not working out or is stuck, there is a limiting belief behind it.
I wish you to quickly transform your negative beliefs into ones leading to your dream life and fulfillment!
